BC Family Day Activity! By Boat and by Train; the history of our town and the Railways & Ships that connected us.

This BC Family Day weekend (Feb. 18th-19th) from 11AM to 5PM, come down to the Peachland Museum and enjoy a day of riding the rails through the Okanagan Valley circa 1960!

Bring your family and experience the sights and sounds of the KVR & Steamships, and learn about the places and people as you interact with our display!

As you wind your way through the route the Kettle Valley Railway took through our valley, take a look at the lost cow in the canyon and listen to the Hobos making music around their fire.

Stop in at historic Train stations from Summerland to Midway and learn about the different industries that owed their livelihood to the connection by rail.

The famed sternwheelers of Okanagan Lake are a prominent feature of this display, as they were an integral part of shipping our community’s fruit across the nation.

Learn about the different ships that navigated our lake and which fruits and products they hauled.

Immerse yourself in the period correct reproduction of the main street in Peachland and figure out which three buildings have stood the test of time.

Ask questions while you peruse our collections of photographs, documents, and artefacts from our beloved Peachland.

Come out and support our Museum, there is something to interest everyone!
